What We Collect

Site visitors: This site uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that collects no personal data, uses no cookies, and does not track individuals across sites. We see aggregate page views and referral sources. We do not see who you are.

Free tool usage: The public modeling tool on the landing page runs entirely in your browser. No input data is transmitted to our servers. Your scenarios are not stored.

Compass Pro accounts: When you create a Compass Pro account, we store your email address and authentication credentials. Saved models, scenario comparisons, and exported term sheets are stored in your authenticated account.

Your Modeling Data

• Saved models belong to you. They are accessible only through your authenticated account.
• Each user's data is isolated through row-level security policies.
• Compass does not access, analyze, or share your financial models with other users or third parties.
• Aggregate, de-identified usage metrics (feature adoption, model types used) may be used for product improvement.

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell personal or organizational data.
• We do not use tracking cookies.
• We do not use tracking pixels.
• We do not share your data with advertising platforms.
• We do not access your saved models for any purpose other than providing the service.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over TLS/HTTPS. Authentication is managed with encrypted credential storage and magic-link sign-in. Saved models are stored with row-level security policies, ensuring that each user can access only their own data. Sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Data Retention

Your modeling data is retained for the duration of your account. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days of your request.
